The key to turning your typical pesto into protein packed pesto isn’t nutty, it’s just making a simple ingredient switch. While traditional pesto includes pine nuts, this Nut Kreations pesto uses sprouted almonds. Sprouted almonds have about six grams of protein for every one-ounce serving. That’s 50% more protein than pine nuts!

  1. Using a food processor combine the first five ingredients. You’ll want it to become the consistency of a thick paste.
  2. Turn on the food processor’s motor and slowly pour the olive oil through the feed tube. Stop the machine when the oil is completely blended inches.
  3. Add more olive oil if you’d like a thinner consistency.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until you’re ready to use it.
