This recipe is for a 2 pound zojirushi bread machine. It's a pretty robust recipe, I've swapped a few of the ingredient (like apples for carrots, or hemp/chia for flax) at times and the results are usually very good. The end result will be a heavy bread...probably closer to 3 pounds. Easy to cut into thinner pieces.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Blend the carrots with 1 cup milk until liquidfied.
  2. Add all liquids to bread pan.
  3. Add all dry ingredients except yeast.
  4. Makes small well in the top of the dry ingredients for yeast.
  5. Set machine for wheat bread and start.
