An awesome appy!!! I used 4 diff meats including the proscuitto to wrap green and white asparagus. Brushed with olive oil and used pepper only. After grilling in a basket we topped with grated goat cheese. yummmmm

So simple, and so exceptionally good! While it's true, as someone mentioned, that prosciutto is very expensive, only a tiny amount is required. Considering how delicious and how elegant this dish is, you get a big bang for your buck. I also roasted because of the weather and omitted the salt since I sprinkled on some shaved Parmesan. Divine! Thanks, to Nimz for posting and to other reviewers for some excellent suggestions. Can't wait to try it on the grill with fontina and also as an appy with garlic aioli.

This recipe is WONDERFUL!! i chose to not boil the asparagus first, as my friends garden had many weaker spears i was thoughtful enough to take out for her (wink wink) but wrapped in the proscuitto, a bit of balsamic & olive oil, pepper..on the grill for 4-5 minutes, then sprinkled parmegiano reggiano on top, it made dinner a hit!!..Thank much Nimz, AGAIN for a fantastic dinner!!

This was an excellent dish. To cut down on the fat I used an Olive Oil Mister and that worked great.

I loved this! I added some balsamic vinegar with the olive oil and salt & pepper. We served this as an appetizer with aioli for a dipping sauce. They were gone in minutes!

this is such a great recipe.. I used all the ingredients but i didn't pre-boil the asparagus. I just wrapped the prosciutto around the asaparagus and sprinkled lightly with pepper and olive oil. then i preheated the oven to 450 and roasted for 5-7 minutes.... they came out perfect!!! all my guests were very impressed!!! they tasted amazing!!! thanks for sharing such a simple yet elegant recipe!

I loved this. Very, very good. The slightly saltiness of the prosciutto worked well with the asparagus. I will be keeping this one handy. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I recently made these for a fellow Zaarite and I think I speak for both of us when I say this will be our new asparagus recipe! Amazing! I did use a veggie peeler on the ends to soften them and then snipped 1/4 inch off as well to avoid that 'stringy tough' part on the spear.

I couldn't find any large asparagus so I used baby ones. After boiling, I wrapped several of them with Prosciutto. I didn't put any seasoning and put them in the oven at 180C for about 5 minutes (that's because I was distracted for a while). By then the Prosciutto had wrapped itself firmly around the asparagus. Simple and elegent in presentation and the taste is lovely!! I'll definitely use this recipe for occasions when I have to WOW peeps and I am very sure they will be! Definitely a Keeper.

I have only tried asparagus once before and hated it. But this one will make an asparagus lover out of anyone! We put a small amount of fontina cheese on the prosciutto before wrapping it around the asparagus, and spread a little butter on it also. I highly recommend this dish to everyone.... asparagus lovers or not!

Very very good. Great side dish for the chicken marsala and risotto dinner I made this weekend. The ensemble looked beautiful on the dinner plate. Thank you very much!

I make this one alot in the summer time, the only thing different that I do is to grate some fontina cheese and sprinkle on the proscuitto before rolling the asparagus up. Simply Wonderful-never any leftovers and men love this appetizer!

Almost could have done this review without making the recipe. Asparagus straight from the farmers market, prosciutto,...what could go wrong. I used just a little course sea salt and plenty of fresh ground pepper and thought it was perfect.

We really enjoyed this. Skipped the blanching step and just cooked under the broiler, turning once. Divine! We will definitely be adding this dish to our spring veggie rotation.
