Found this recipe in a high school reference book about various world countries. This apparently is a popular cookie made in Romania. I just made these for the first time and they were pretty sticky. I would recommend refrigerating the dough before baking. The original recipe said to knead the dough, but it's too gooey for that. Something must have gotten lost in translation! :)
- Cream the sugar with the eggs and butter.
- Add walnuts, rum flavoring and flour.
- Mix well then drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets, leaving plenty of space in between.
- Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (about 10 minutes).
These were o.k. They spread way out and did't have that big of a rum flavor. They tasted like buttery walnuts. I might retry them again after tinkering. If anyone one has luck with these let me know, It could be me. I didn't get 48 cookies either.
