When the jar's empty and you need prepared mustard for a recipe, here's an emergency blend. Savor this in recipes such as honey mustard chicken wings or mustard pretzel dip. I found this recipe in Taste Of Home magazine. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it in safe keeping.

This recipe is fine! Thank you for posting. For those of you without a clue: this mustard recipe is for cooking...when a recipe calls for prepared mustard and all you have in the house is dry mustard this recipe works perfect. .this is not something one would spread on a bun for hamburgers or hotdogs. . Although you could in a pinch and as long as your taste buds haven't been destroyed by smoking or eating foods with too much salt and sugar it'll taste fine

- Mix ground mustard, cider vinegar, and sugar to equal 1 tablespoon of prepared mustard. Let stand for 15 minutes so that the flavors can develop.
- If adding mustard to wet or liquid mixture, 1 teaspoon ground mustard is equal to 1 tablespoon prepared mustard.
