  1. Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan, add chopped pecans,
  2. reduce heat and cook 5 minutes.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a heavy saucepan.
  5. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Stir in pecans.
  7. Serve warm over ice cream.
  8. Makes 1 cup sauce.
