We had this last night and it was fantastic! I used chicken broth instead of water and bouillon and I also threw in some frozen corn and garlic powder. I left out the parsley and I used 1% milk. I used a stick blender to puree some of the soup to make it a little thicker and didn't bother with the flour. My daughter loved it so much she took it in a thermos for her school lunch today. Next time I may throw in some turnips and rutabaga with the potatoes and I may try someone else's suggestion to add clams to make clam chowder

Great potato soup! I even had to use Unsweetened Almond Milk b/c I forgot to buy regular milk for this recipe and it still tasted great! I'll use some regular 2% milk next time to make it even better!

Very easy and good. I had to adjust a bit because we have milk allergies in the family, so I used soy milk. Next time, I will either use less soy milk and more chicken broth or I may try almond milk since I think the slightly nutty flavor will go well with potatoes. I also think it needs more than 4 cups of potatoes. I added a little garlic, some crushed red peppers to give it a kick and a little more dill. Other than that, I love that I now have a very quick and easy recipe for potato soup!

I absolutely loved this recipe. I did make some changes due to personal taste/circumstances.
I used more than the 4 cups of potatoes (why waste the remains of a good potato?) so the ammount of water wasn't nearly enough to simmer w/ them. Because of this I basically ended up doubling the rest of the recipe. I left out the onions and used a teaspoon of dehydrated minced onion and a teaspoon of onion powder and a couple of pinches of garlic powder. I cut down the ammount of carrots and chopped them real tiny and also added some broccoli and bacon.
I ended up using a lot more flour to get the thickness I wanted and added about a half cup of cream just for fun.

Wow, this was great! The seasonings were perfect. Next time I'm going to add some clams to make it a clam chowder, but we all really enjoyed it the way it was. Thanks for the recipe!

That was my fisrt attempt to make potato soup. It's a really good recipe, I can't wait to try it for lunch with cheese and turkey bacon bits :) I did not have celery, so I added a tiny bit of celery seeds instead.

This is an excellent receipe. This is the first potatoe soup I had made and my family was crazy about it. Everyone asked me to make it now. Thanks so much for this terrific receipe. I did add 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the soup instead of using it as a garnish and it was great!!

This was good! I used a can of chicken broth instead of the water and boullion, and I only used 1 tsp of salt. Other than that I made it exactly as directed. And it's better for you than other potato soups, especially if you use low fat milk!
