Very good. It is a little thicker than my preference but my husband liked it as it was. After it was in the individual bowls I topped it with a little more cheddar, some ham (leftover from the Easter ham) and some chopped green onions. It looked very attractive and I believe the garnishes added to the flavour of the soup. Thanks for sharing your delicious recipe.

Simple and very good. I added some sauteed onions and finely diced smoked sausage that was cooked with the onion.
The soup along with some fresh bread from the "Our daily bread recipe"....yum!

Wonderful soup. I made half a recipe and we still have some left. I did add kielbasa at the end to heat through. Served with pumpernickel bread. Yummy and warming for this cold weather.

Made this today to take to a friend who had oral surgery. Was a rush-job, so I used two cans of cubed potatoes and one can of cream of potato soup, the rest I did exactly as written. I shredded cheddar cheese and mixed in bacon bits into a separate bowl to be added as being served. I tasted it, of course. Delicious! This is going into my own recipe book now. Thank you!

I don't know what I was thinking making this on one of the hottest days of the year, but I was scrounging around, found I had quite a few potatoes, and decided to make use of them. I really doctored this up. I used Cracker Barrel extra sharp cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, and pepperjack cheese. I also threw in a clove of garlic as well as salt and pepper. At the ended I added spinach in with the potatoes, and instead of bacon I use pepperoni. The pepperoni made it out of this world and added an extra kick. I turned my air conditioner way up and enjoyed the soup immensely. It will last me for the next several days.

This was delicious. My husband kept going on and on about how good it was. The only thing I did differently was to add chopped celery with the onion.
