Very easy, simple potato soup. I added 2 cubes of chicken bouillon, but may use more next time to amp up the flavor a bit. I really liked that this didn't take long to make at all! My boyfriend really liked this and he is super picky.

This potato soup is AWESOME! I always get the potato soup at restaraunts and have never made it myself. I can now venture into new things at restaraunts, because I can now make potato soup that is just as good if not better. I made it just as the recipe called, however I think next time I'll add some green onions and maybe some bacon. Thank you for sharing this!!!

very good and easy to make. and it CAN be made vegan. i used Earth Balance, in place of butter and an unsweetened almond/cashew milk blend in lieu of regular milk. SO SO good. i also added in some green onions and other veggies. thanks for posting this!

This is SO good! I changed some things though. I put a ridiculous amount of bacon, extra chicken bouliane, about 4 minced garlic cloves, I put extra cheese, a lot of chopped up chives, garlic salt and cracked black pepper. First time making soup ever, and was surprising not too hard. :)

I have been making This soup for 50 yrs. I use the water that I cooked the potato cubes, celery, & onions in the soup itself. I also keep the potatoes cubed. You can use this basic potato soup & add seafood (shrimp, crab, lobster, oysters etc whatever yup like) to make a very good seafood chowder.

Enjoyed this! I may have cheated and added just a small amount of bacon grease in place of part of the butter and I sauteed onion, celery in this before adding the flour. I also boiled some carrots along with the potatoes. I used a potato masher to keep things a little chunky. Oh, and added some ham that was in the freezer needing to be used up. Tasty soup!

This is a GREAT potato soup recipe. It is so simple to make, I had it cooked from start to finish in 10 minutes due to using the steam pressure cooker. I added sour cream, cheddar cheese and green onions as toppings to each bowl. I've cooked a lot of potato soup and this has to be the best. Thanks for such a great and easy recipe.

Simple to make and delicious! I topped it with grated sharp cheddar. Next time I will also use chopped green onions as a garnish.

Love it! Easy to make and oh so good. I use less cheese mixed in and top so I get the melted cheese!!
