I don't eat potato salad but my husband and kids love it and they have to eat store bought to get their fix... I decided to surprise them and make this potato salad to go along with the ribs and corn on the cob we were grilling for dinner and I think I made a mistake BECAUSE I'm never gonna be able to pass the store bought stuff on them again! They all went nuts for it and my husband and daughter said it was the best potato salad they've ever had! Thanks for sharing :)
Great recipe although it takes quite a bit longer to make for it to be cooled properly. I used spicy brown mustard and really liked the flavor. I think the mustard you use probably makes a big difference in the end product. I've made this twice and we enjoy it a lot (even picky DH), thanks!
Made this last weekend an it was a hit!!! No leftovers here either. Did use celery sat instead of seed and used 1/2 of a regular onion instead of green onions. It was the talk of the whole cookout! Will be making this alot more often!!! Thank you!!!!!
Made this for a luncheon i had with the girls the other day. It was good but i dont know it i would make it again. Im still on the search for the perfect reciepe ( for my taste).
Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly (except that I don't have an celery seeds), no tweaks, as I usually like to try a recipe as is the first time around. I have it chilling now, so I'm sure it will be even better when we eat it tomorrow. My husband, myself, and my kids (two 7 year old daughters and a 3 year old son) can't wait to eat a nice big helping with our lunch tomorrow! Thanks for a simple potato salad recipe that tastes awesome!
This is a great recipe. I added a bit of miracle whip and a little extra relish, but it's the first time I've mashed the yolks in the dressing and I really liked it. Will definitely use it again. Thanks
This is wonderful. I will try making it ahead of time.
We found this to be a tad sweet, and not enough onion flavor for us. I may make it again with a few modifications.
This is such an easy and absolutely delicious recipe. I love that the egg yolks are mixed into the mayo...it makes it so creamy (and a great way to hide the fact that there are eggs in it since one of our kids hates eggs!). I also added celery and cucumber for a bit of a crunch. This will now be my ONLY recipe for potato salad! Thanks for a great keeper!
Delicious, thanks! I pretty much followed the recipe, except instead of a 1/2 tsp. of pepper, I used about a 1/4 tsp. of pepper and about 1/4 tsp. of Penzey's Black & Red (basically just a mixture of black pepper and cayenne) to give it a little more kick.
