This is very close to my recipe for potato salad, but somehow lost mine. So from now on, this one will be the one I use. One tip to make sure you don't overcook your potatoes, is put them in the water in the pot and when it boils hard for 8 mins, drain and dress. Perfect everytime!
I added grey poupon to mine for a good kick and bacon. No peppers, but am definitely willing to try that!
I made half a recipe and DH loved it. I hadn't made potato salad with dill before and really loved it.
DH thought it needed more umph. Domeone else said it was fantastic!!! So I divided 5 stars and the 3 stars.
Marry me? My search for the BEST POTATO SALAD EVER is over! I've been looking for one to match my mom's, which I don't have and she's gone now :o( and this fits the bill! Of course, I omitted pickles and their juice and used red pepper instead of green for personal preference, but OMG!!! I will never make another again. Thank you SO much!
All I have to say is, I am 7 months pregnant and was REALLY craving some good potato salad-this hit the spot! It was perfect! Me and my daughter to be thank you and your sister. God Bless you
Your recipe is very similar to the one I use so I am attaching my review & photo here instead of adding another potato salad recipe. I use sweet relish instead of dill pickles and red pepper in addition to the green. It is always a popular salad. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
This is an excellent potato salad! I excluded the bell pepper because I didn't have one on hand but I will be sure to try it next time. I also added 2 tbsp of cider vinegar over the potatoes before combining with the other ingredients. I loved the taste of the pickle juice and did add a little more than suggested. Thanks for the recipe!
