My husband's 100% polish Bachi made these for him all the time when he was growing up and every now and again he gets to craving them so I pull out her recipe and whip up a batch...they are never exactly the same as Bachi used to make...but pretty good all the same!
- 3 potatoes, grated
- 1⁄4 onion, grated
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- Mix all ingredients together well.
- Form patties to your size preference.
- Fry in a well greased skillet until both sides are crunchy and browned.
- **If you are eating these alone as a meal this will serve 2, as a side to a meal it will serve 4-6.
Turned out pretty, something different, and tasty. The only thing I did different was to give em a little zing with cayenne pepper. Thanks for sharing.
