This is a great recipe for the BBQ. We have enjoyed it over the years. I am not a pepper person, but this was great.
- This is for the BBQ.
- In tin-foil wrap (you may need two pieces folded together):.
- Slice the potatoes.
- Slice the onions.
- Dice the pepper.
- Slice the kielbasa.
- Mix it all together.
- Add a few pads of butter and then add garlic powder and onion salt to your liking.
- Put on the BBQ about 25 minutes on each side.
- Poke with fork to see if done.
I actually like the flavor of this recipe alot ( I ususally don't LOVE kielbasa). However, I thought it needed to be spiced up a little bit and needed some color. I made it twice and the second time I added some green and red bell peppers for flavor and for color. I could also see adding some jalapenos.I think the ease of making this recipe is outstanding.
I played around with the quantities a little and added fresh peeled and sliced carrots which I boiled for several minutes while preparing the other items in the dish and then threw in 3tsp of chopped garlic from the bottle. Apart from tearing the tinfoil boat on the way off of the grill, You can't screw this dish up it seems. I had enough for 2 now, and some for lunch tomorrow. Having grown sick of candied kielbasa, this was a great find!
