Thank you Mizz Nezz for another incredible recipe! My family loves this dish and we've had it several times. I tend to substitute red pepper for the green, use red potatoes (both skin off and skin on), and omit the cheese. Yummy, great kid pleasing dish and a staple in our dinner rotation!

This is my hubby's new favorite meal! I have made it twice now. Once with turkey keilbasa and once with beef. Excellent and easy. Thanks!

I liked how easy this was, on top of the great taste factor. After smelling my warmed up leftovers at work, my friend wanted the recipe, then looked at it and suggested using wine in place of the water for additional flavor. I haven't tried that yet, but I can't wait to do so.

This is a good everyday meal. I only rate it a 3 because it isn't very special, but it's good, hearty, and inexpensive. I use turkey kielbasa to reduce fat, and sub green pepper for poblano (preference) and sometimes red pepper if I have it. We double the onion because we like it a lot and I use whatever cheese I have (usually cheddar and mozzerella). We've made it 2-3 times now, so we must like it! Thanks, Mizz...

This went over very well with the family. My son could not get enough! Will certainly make again.

This is very good. I used a can of chicken broth in place of the water, figuring if it was too watery when the time was up I would just drain the extra broth off. No need to drain, it cooked down to a thickend sauce so that when I added the cheese it made almost a thick cheese sauce. I didn't have any kielbasa so I used Mild Italian Sausage links. They worked great, gave a nice flavor. I am going to try this same recipe with other meats, maybe chicken or beef. I think it will be very easy to tweak. Thanks MizzNezz for another keeper!

This is so yummy! We've made this several times now, even for my inlaws. We all love it. I always end up with too much water...which is fine, it's still yummy...like a cheesy soup.

We liked this meal. Did not think it was outstanding, but we might make it again. I too reduced the water to 1/3 cup and that was plenty.

I made it just like the recipe said, and it turned out great! DH doesn't normally like the traditional fare of meat and potatoes but he said it scored a 4.5, that's pretty good!

Made this last night exactly as recipe said and it was wonderful. The only thing I would do any different is only use 3/4 c. of water. I ended up pouring off 3/4 c. of water before I put on the cheese. I also used red potatoes and left on the peelings.

I have made this several times and my DH and I love it! It is very easy. I do not put that many potatoes in since it is just the two of us, but we still have enough for 2 meals. I did use cheddar cheese. It smells great while cooking and I know it will be a recipe that we will use often.

Holy cow. I can not even begin to say how awesome this was. I used chicken broth instead of water and it cooked right off on a medium heat for 20 minutes. I topped with medium cheddar cheese and loved it. My friend was so impressed she is making it for her family tonight minus the cheese. She thought the cheese covered the spicy taste of kielbasa. I served with french bread.

This was sooo delicious!! The smells in my house while it was cooking were wonderful!! The only changes I would make in this recipe is to add more bellpepper.(I love fresh bellpepper). One reviewer said to add mushrooms and I think that would be a good idea also. It was really delicious and it made a kind of gravy that was delicious. Served with green salad and crusty bread!!! Thanks for sharing MizzNezz!

I made this using smoked sausage and some flat beer that I had in place of the water. I also used up shredded cheese that I had--a combination of cheddar, swiss, and smoked gouda. I let it simmer for a very long time, as we were not ready to eat at the time when it first would pass as done. It kept quite well, I would even say that it benefitted from the extra time. and Very tasty. DH liked it as well. A keeper.

This recipe was so delicious!! I cannot believe how simple it was too. My husband and son practically ate the whole thing. I did leave out the green peppers since my husband doesn't like it. I will definitely be making this again. The house smelled so good while cooking, I bet my neighbors were jealous. This is a great recipe for the winter when it's cold. Thank you so much for posting!

I made this on 9/14/07 for my SO and myself, and since there was just us two I only made half. The only thing I did different besides that, was to omit the green peppers, and use shredded sharp cheese. With this I served mixed veggies and Buttermilk Biscuits.Thank you for posting, this will be made again. "Keep Smiling :)"

MMMMMMMM. I used leaner turkey kielbasa and chicken broth instead of the water. Also added some garlic. The flavor was GREAT! Nothing like a comforting kielbasa pot on a cool evening. Thanks!
