we always have this on thanksgiving and Christmas!
- 2 cups cooked then cooled mashed potatoes
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cream of wheat
- 2 cups flour
- Blend until you can handle the dough.
- Make into round balls.
- Cook for 10 minutes in boiling water that cover the dumplings.
- keep lid on pan.
I made these to go with Sauerbraten in Crock Pot - perfect combo. These dumplings didn't disintegrate at all during cooking, which I used to find as hit or miss. They were perfect. I will only use this potato dumpling from now on.
