This was really good! I left out the meat and my tater chips were a little off so used Dorito chips. Great sandwich! Thanks! Mde for the Best of 2009 cookbook game.

I love this recipe! I figured I would because I love potato chips on my tuna salad sandwiches. I used turkey, American cheese, and salt and vinegar potato chips. It was so good. Thanks!

You all are right, this sandwich is very different, but it is great! I can't believe that I've never tried potato chips on a sandwich until I saw this recipe. I used deli roast beef and added a little horseradish sauce to the mayo. The garden fresh tomato slices go very well with the crunchy potato chips. I will have to experiement with different kinds of deli meats (ham and turkey) in the future.

I gave this recipe 5 stars. I love potato chips on my cold meat sandwiches! Whenever I order a sanwich out and it comes with chips I put them on it. I also add them to my sandwiches at home. I use ruffled and regular plain potato chips (no flavor ones for me). Thanks for posting such a good recipe! Christine (internetnut)

Growing up, we always put chips on our sandwiches, especially peanut butter and jelly. Oh my, it's soooo good! My three young grandboys won't eat PB&J without them now, lol.

I am not a big sandwich person, but thought this looked really good when I saw it featured. I was surprised at just how good it was! I think you can make this whatever you have in the house/like. I made mine with whole wheat bread, goat cheese, no mayo/meat, cornichons, cherry tomatoes, green onions and baked Lay's chips. I thought the green onion went perfectly and loved the pickle flavor and huge crunch of the chips in it. ETA: I made this a second time using blue cheese. So delicious!

Potato chips in a sandwich! Brings back lots of memories. Mine was always bologna and cheese but I've got to try this one for sure. I'm rating this before I make it because I know it's going to be fantastic. Thanks for the reminder mydesigngirl. BTW, when my son was 5 he wanted to make his own lunch which was bologna and cheese sprinkled with shredded, sweetened coconut. I've never tried it and doubt I ever will........but he loved it. LOL

Sign in or create an accountI'm not rating it as I didn't make your exact sandwich but it's so great to see I'm not the only one that loves this! I use to eat potato chips on my sandwiches all the time, before eating healthier took that away. lol Also great on a PB&J sandwich!

My goodness, what a great tasting sandwich this is. My husband and I really enjoyed it!! We did however used hoagie rolls instead of the bread slices, and I added a bit more meat. By the way, for the meat...I used Oscar Mayer's Mesquite Shaved Turkey Breast; plus while I made mine w/mayo, my hubby prefered his with salad dressing. Thank you mydesigirl for posting this yummy tasting sandwich recipe. It's a keeper!!
