Didnt do the freeze thing with this dish, just boiled and mashed the potatoes and added everything else and stuck it in the oven, loved it.

  1. Steam spuds until tender.
  2. Peel and mash.
  3. Melt butter add milk and all remaining ingredients.
  4. Mash well and beat until fluffy.
  5. Pour into casserole dishes and freeze.
  6. To serve thaw and bake uncovered in a 350 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  7. You want it browned and bubbly.
  8. I've used a can of cream corn rather than the milk and added hot sauce.
  9. This is pretty good.
