this is one of my favorite comfort foods when it is cold or raining. This is just enough for my family.

Perfect way to use up leftover country ham. I added a cup of shredded cheddar cheese and it was a definite hit with the family.

  1. In a large stock pot add first four ingredients and cook until the onions and ham are tender and sweated. med high heat.
  2. add spices and flour and stir until it is like a thick consistency
  3. add stock and boil.
  4. add potatos and cook until tender.
  5. add milk and nutmeg.
  6. garnish with scallions and cheese.
