A taste-tempting, light and airy bread recipe posted in response to a recipe request. This bread also may be kneaded only in the bread machine and baked into the shaped loaf of your choice.
- 1 1⁄3 cups water
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1 1⁄3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 3 2⁄3 cups bread flour
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons yeast
- Place all ingredients in order listed in bread machine.
- Let it run on the white bread cycle.
Great, it is just like a portuguese bun (papo seco). It is very light and fluffy on the inside and a crispy crust exterior.
This turned out wonderful. As a personal preference I think I will use a little less salt next time, or unsalted butter. Other than that the texture of the bread was very good, and I was pleased.
