My Portuguese friend use to make coffee for us but all I actually saw was that she whipped it before serving. I went hunting for her recipe which was very strong and also sweet. I found this one by Joao Luis Vieira Leitao....I do think this is IT! So very simple and quick too!
- Into a mug, place the coffee and sugar. Mix in a couple of drops of tepid water and stir until the mixture looks like black cake dough. Keep mixing until it turns white, or yellow, then fill with boiling water.
- By oxygenating the coffee, you end up with a creamy yellow drink with foam on top.
Almost 4 1/2 stars. I was craving a coffee drink that was dairy free and this worked. Mine turned yellow and it was strong. I may make this again as needed.
