- 1 (1/4 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
- 1⁄4 cup cold water
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 3⁄4 cups hot coffee
- 1⁄4 cup Irish whiskey (or other alcoholic beverage) (optional)
- whipped cream
directions
- Sprinkle gelatin over the cold water and let stand until soft, 5-7 minutes.
- Combine sugar, coffee and whiskey. Add gelatin and stir until fully dissolved.
- Divide mixture among 4 small coffee cups. Refrigerate until set. Dollop with whipped cream before serving.
