Me and my mum make this every morningbecuase its so quick and simple! It is so low in fat and yet tastes so creamy! Additionally it releases energy so slowly, keeping you going for ages!
- Place the porridge oats into a saucepan.
- Add the milk.
- Place onto stove on medium heat.
- Stir occasionally.
- When boiled, take off heat.
- Mash the banana and serve on top.
I like porridge for breakfast, especially in winter, as it's warming and gives me just the right slow-releasing energy I need. Adding a mashed banana to the top makes a nice change from having it just plain. I also indulged and had a little maple syrup over the top.
I wanted oat meal and I had a banana that "needed to be eaten". This was just the thing. I mushed it altogher and scooped it up with my hot buttered toast. Yum
