    Belly-warmer on a frosty morn. This British breakfast dish is made special with the addition of bananas and raisins.

    Ingredients:

    Directions:

    1. 1
      In a saucepan, combine the oats, water, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
    2. 2
      Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, and simmer until the liquid has been absorbed, stirring frequently.

      Pour into bowls, and top each with a pat of butter, bananas, raisins, and a splash of cold milk.

      Classic oatmeal as I had it in England - the salt and butter taste is typical and I love it. Very good with the addition of the banana and raisins. I used almond milk for topping. Thanks for sharing :)

      This was very good. We enjoyed it for breakfast this morning. We enjoyed the bananas and raisins on top of the porridge. Made as written, except the salt, forgot it. Thank You. Made for ZWT8.
