Recipe was easy and smelled very good when cooking, but it lacked the flavour I was expecting. Marinated it 8 hours, but I cooked it in the oven, so maybe it needed to be grilled as stated in the directions. I had higher hopes for the balsamic/chili powder combo. With so many tasty way to prepare a tenderloin I will not likely try this again.

The flavor in this marinade is really wonderful. I tripled the garlic and left out the cloves and cinnamon for DH's taste. I can see how someone put this in their best of the year cookbook.

Since my husband is not a fan of pork tenderloins, I made this marinade for pork chops. It was delicious! We grilled the bone-in thick pork chops for 5 min. on each side and then let them sit for 5 min. They had so much flavor. What a nice surprise. I served noodle kugle (with no fruit) and baked apples as accompaniments. Perfect! I know it was a little heavy for a summer dinner, but we love comfort food at our house!

I had a small pork loin and cut it into 1 inch portions which we marinated in the recipe. We grilled on low heat and they were tender and delicious. I will also try this with chicken as the flavors are so tasty.

Awesome! We loved, loved, loved the aroma and unique flavor of this marinade. We often have pork tenderloins since thay are so easy to cook on busy weeknights and go with everything. Last night we had this with sauteed yellow and pattypan squash, leeks, and olive oil, and some baked apples and sweet potatoes mashed with Bourbon, sour cream, and butter. Delicious!

I'm giving 4 stars because I didn't make it, I just ate the product that my friend made, so I cannot comment on the recipe and the cooking (she even did the grilling). I thought it was delicious. Great flavor for the pork. I would definitely make it again - I usually have all the ingredients on hand.

Although I only had 4-6 hours of marination time -- this was prepared according to directions, except for the cinnamon -- personal preference. It was indeed very tender and juicy -- DH timed 9 minutes per side on the grill, but there just was not the intense flavor I had anticipated. The chili powder indeed was not very spicy -- and perhaps should be increased -- or perhaps a dash or 2 of hot sauce. Thanks for posting. Chicagoland Chef.

Yummy!! This was delicious. My 3 year old DD ate it all up and then ate some off my plate. It was tender and flavorful. I only had 3 hours to marinate this, but it was still delicious. I can't wait to try it with the proper marinating time.

We had this for dinner last night and it was fabulous. My husband loves pork tenderloin and especially liked this recipe. I only used 1/2 of a tenderloin, but kept the same amount of marinade, so there was plenty left over in the pan to drizzle over the pork once it was cooked.

I think it is a terrible shame to make a person's recipe and change it then give it a poor rating for changing the taste entirely and not liking it and saying so. This is a great recipe and deserves more than 5 stars! And DH made it cuz I am sick. He followed the directions to the "T" he's a griller cook and it was delicious! Jelly :)

I have done this twice now and I know I will make it again. I usually marinate over night then all day until time to grill. I have never done this in the oven so I am speaking from a grilling stand point only. I find it keeps the meat tender, juicy and wonderful flavor. It is a recipe I will use for years to come. Thank you!

This marinade was very tasty. I marinated for 24 hours and then used Perfect Pork Tenderloin Perfect Pork Tenderloin to cook it. It was so tender my 9 month old ate it with just his 2 teeth. Very good and company worthy!

I tripled this recipe and subbed cumin for caraway (I only used 1/2 the amount of caraway). I marinaded in my vacuum sealer for about 2 hours. It did taste great however, I did mine in the oven, but I think that this marinade is best with caramelizing on a BBQ.

Another great recipe from Chicago Chef du Jour. This marinade is to die for. I marinated it for 8 hours and grilled it almost 17 minutes. The pork was very flavorful, tender and moist. The secret is to allow it to rest at least 5 mins so that all that flavorful juices do not run out. Thanks again for sharing this winner....can't wait to make it again.
