This recipe found on a 3x5 card from Pfaltzgraff. Posting it for ZWT.
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
- 1⁄2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of celery soup
- 1⁄4 cup apple juice
- 1⁄2 cup apple, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup celery, sliced
- 1⁄4 teaspoon thyme
- hot cooked noodles
- In hot oil, brown pork chops and onion for about 10 minutes. Spoon off fat. Stir in soup, apple juice, apple, celery and thyme.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over noodles.
I bought some lovely boneless chops and really had no idea what to do with them. This is a yummy solution to my dilema. I used a big fuji apple and threw in a large bag of baby carrots. Also left the celery rather big so we could fish it out (to cut down on sodium). Excellent recipie.
