Pork, fruit & pasta -- For me that's a great combination, & here's a recipe that my family has enjoyed for over 30 years!

Directions

  1. Carefully saute pork & onions in the oil until browned.
  2. Add the broth, salt, pepper & ginger, & stir to combine.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover & simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Add fruits & simmer, covered 20 minutes longer, or until pork is fork-tender.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the rotini according to the directions on the box.
  6. Serve the pork & fruit over hot pasta.

Made with egg noodles. I liked it well enough but the rest of the family was not impressed. Thanks for an interesting change of pace.

Ver interesting pasta dish. I'm not so sure how much I liked the mixture of apples with pasta... But it was a great change from the everyday pasta dish. If I make this again I think I may leave out the apples but keep the other fruits.

I found pre-cut pork at WalMart and used green onions instead of two small onions. Nice flavors but this didnt work well for my family. I think it was a little to sweet for them. I enjoyed the prunes and apricots a lot with the pork.
