Lately the pork chops around here have been dry and tough as shoe leather, so I marinated them in butter milk, then breaded them rather than broiling. Turned out great, but the sauce of course was the best part! Even though I only made two pork chops I made the full amount of sauce. Simply delicious, thanks, Dr. Jenny for posting! Very nice dinner, made this as posted except used half the pepper, and added some seasoning salt (only 1/8 teaspoon). There aren't enough words that could not describe the bleu cheese sauce/gravy, mine was outstanding. Have had nothing like that, very very good. Served these with some bleu cheese smashed potatoes. Made for Rookie Tag.
Made this for New Kids on the Block tag game....WOW! My chops I had were quite thick so I seasoned, dipped them in an egg, breaded them with panko and seasoned bread crumbs, and fried them til brown. Then I put them in the oven on top of sliced onions and baked them til done. I did follow the directions with the gravy/sauce and I thought DH was going to make himself sick eating the sauce on everything even just with his spoon. It is a rich tasting sauce with the blue cheese but ohhhhhh sooooo good! Definately this is going into my Favorites of 2011. Thank you for submitting the recipe and next time I will follow the recipe completely.
