  • 29.58 ml vegetable oil
  • 6 pork loin chops or 6 rib chops
  • 4.92 ml salt
  • 1.23 ml pepper
  • 473.18 ml tomatoes, chopped, 2 medium
  • RADISH AND CILANTRO RELISH

  • 473.18 ml radishes, thinly sliced
  • 118.29 ml onion, chopped, 1 medium
  • 44.37 ml orange juice
  • 29.58 ml lime juice
  • 29.58 ml fresh cilantro, snipped fine
  • 29.58 ml vegetable oil
  • 1.23 ml salt
  • 1.23 ml pepper, freshly ground

  • * Pork Chops should be about 1/2-inch thick. Prepare Radish and Cilantro Relish and set aside.
  • RADISH AND CILANTRO RELISH: Mix all ingredients in a glass or plastic bowl.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  • Heat oil in a 10-inch skillet until hot. Cook pork chops in oil over medium heat until brown; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Remove pork from the skillet.
  • Cook and stir relish and tomatoes in the same skillet for 5 minutes.
  • Add pork chops and heat to boiling; then reduce the heat.
  • Cover and simmer until pork is done, about 45 minutes.
  • Garnish with the snipped fresh cilantro if desired.

  1. Used canned italian diced tomatoes instead of fresh (what i had on hand). Tried this recipe in an effort to use radishes from our fall CSA share. It was more than edible, but I'll not be making it again for my family. The flavor of the radishes WAS mellower, we just don't seem to have a taste for them regardless. Thanks, mariposa13, for posting so we had another option for trying radishes!
     
  2. The sauce is great! I used pork tenderloin,instead of chops.Next time will try with chops or chicken.The only thing I did different was use the cilantro that comes in a tube!I`ve never tasted cooked radishes,but will again. Thanks,linda.
