So simple but SO Yummy. I followed the recipe except that I omitted the celery and I doubled the sauce ingredients (except for the water and salt) so there would be plenty for the rice. I served it over Trader Joe's Frozen Organic Brown rice with California Blend and a couple Honeydew slices. It was devoured. The pork chops (I used lean Boneless) came out so tender and moist. Thanks for a quick and easy recipe.
I'm so sorry but we did not like this recipe. We found the onion flavour overpowered everything. When we scraped the sauce off the meat, it was edible. But, the pork chops weren't very tender.
I decided to try this recipe because I had all the ingredients on hand. I wasn't expecting much to be honest but I was very happily suprised!! This stuff is so good that my husband and I scarfed them down and had extra. This is definitely a keeper as it fits my criteria for a great recipe: simple, inexpensive, easy and delicious! Thank you very much!
I really liked it, however, I must report that the hubby and my teen boy felt it was too sweet. I thought it was wonderful. Just wanted to mention what my guys thought.
The aroma from this recipe while it is cooking makes you want to stand by the the oven and ask "Is it ready yet!" When it is ready the taste doen't let you down. Flavorful, moist, tender chop. I reduced the recipe to 1 chop but only halved the sauce. I will have the leftover sauce over rice as a side dish. Thanks PotPie for this delicious recipe
These chops are wonderful. The tomato sauce is nice and tangy. The celery and onions give it a nice flavor, too. I may omit or reduce the water next time for a slightly thicker sauce. Thanx for sharing. I'll make this again.
This was really nice. The pork chops were very moist and tender, with a delicious sweet & tangy tomato sauce. I served this with mashed potatoes. We really enjoyed this yummy, easy to make dish, thanks so much for sharing PotPie.
This is a great recipe! The chops were tender and tangy. Very easy to put together and bake if there are other things to do. I will be making this again. Thank you for sharing.
