Ok I am not giving this any stars because I don't think I can give it a fair rating. My dad and husband loved this, but for me it was just ok. I don't think it was the fault of the recipe though. I doubled it and my chicken broth was really "chickeny" and that with the combination of the thyme sort of reminded me too much of turkey. The pork chops did turn out super moist though.
This was an easy to make meal that didn't require use of the oven for 1 hour. Wonderful, tender chops with a yummy gravy. will be making it again soon.
excellent dish. I didn't have any brown gravy mix so I used the country gravy mix, and canned chicken broth, Lots and lots of thin sliced onions and lots of pepper ; ) It was so good I will probably dream about it..Thank you for posting the recipe, Lani Kai.
This recipe is definately a keeper! It was delicious! It cooked up quickly and had wonderful flavor. And best of all I didnt have to turn the oven on. I didnt have a gravy with pimentos so I added green pepper to the onion and garlic it turned out great. I made a big tossed salad and and followed the lead and made mashed potatoes to serve with this meal. My son and his wife loved the meal and when they were done they cleaned up and put the leftovers in the fridge. We always lable and date everything that goes into the freezer and fridge so when I got up this morning to get my coffee creamer out there sat our leftovers labeled "Lani Kai Pork Chops 8/1/06". So its official these arent just any pork chops they are "Lani Kai pork chops!
This dish was delicious; I also served with paprika mashed potatoes and a salad. I've had a few requests to make it again and it's only been a week!
Very good and simple, I used chicken broth. I served with Paprika Mashed potatoes. Will make again!
