Great to add some variety to your salads. Something a little different to the usual. You can substitute the poppy seeds with toasted sesame seeds as a recipe variation
- 1⁄4 cup honey
- 1 cup light olive oil
- 1 tablespoon poppy seed
- 1⁄3 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 lemon, zest of
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Dijon mustard or 1⁄2 teaspoon whole grain mustard or 1⁄2 teaspoon mustard powder
- Blend all ingredients together and use to dress your salads.
- Can use a bottle or container with a tight fitting lid to shake ingredients and use to store any remaining dressing in the refrigerator.
Wonderful salad dressing. I was looking for a poppy seed dressing for a spinach salad - this was perfect. I halved the ingredients as there are just two of us but forgot to halve the mustard. I used grainy dijon and was very happy with my mistake. :)
Thanks so much for posting - it will definitely be one of our standards!
Wonderful dressing! Followed the recipe exactly, and this was just the thing for our salad. The family loved it and it was so quick and easy to make. I can see this recipe being used quite a bit here, with the summer months coming on, and especially when the ingredients are always on hand in the pantry. Thanks Jubes fantastic recipe!
