I made this tonight with a salad of baby spinach and red butter lettuce...very tasty indeed...I did reduce the sugar by half ...delicious all in all!

I was a little disappointed in the recipe as written. It was way too oily, I feel. I guess I'm just super-sensitive to oils and fats. I managed to "fix it up" to my tastes by making another batch without the oil and combining it with the original. I also added a half teaspoon of garlic powder and 3 tablespoons of honey. Thank you for an inspirational recipe, Realtor.

Nice and easy salad dressing. I used Splenda with great results. I felt the olive oil overpowered the dressing, so I added more of the other ingredients to compensate. I also added some no salt all purpose seasoning to give it some added flavor. THANKS! Made for AUS/NZ tag. OK. . .back to bump you to 5 stars. . .it was fabulous atop a salad of romaine, blueberries, shaved manchego cheese, and onions (yes, more onions). SO good. Will make this again.

This brought back memories of the first time I had the opportunity to taste a poppy seed dressing. Long, long ago, or as my kids would say... in the times of dragons and knights, DH and I were sitting in a French Quarter bistro. I ordered a citrus salad with poppy seed dressing. I was so impressed that I asked the waiter for the recipe. He came out with it written on a paper napkin. The proportions were enough to make a rather large vat of the stuff. Well, I thought it funny at the time. Wonderful dressing, sized right and sealed to perfection with a wonderful memory. Made for 123 Hit Wonders.

Wonderful dressing! Used it on a spinach and strawberry salad for my lunch today! I did reduce the onion just a bit and think next time I'll reduce the sugar a tad too as I like the tang from the vinegar. But overall it is a great salad dressing! Loved the dressing! Followed this exactly, only halving it, but no other changes were made. Served on top of fresh asparagus that was blanched and chilled. June 2009
