This seems really CORNY but its good! Use as an appetizer if you like or just a great snack for yourself.
- 4 Ritz crackers
- 2.46 ml ketchup (or more)
- 1 slice cheddar cheese or 1 slice mozzarella cheese or 1 slice provolone cheese
- 4 pepperoni slices (optional)
- Place Ritz cracker salt side down and top with a little ketchup.
- Add cheese and pepperoni.
- Heat in microwave until cheese melts. (usually less than 30 seconds)!
Very tasty little snack! I tried with ketchup and also with homemade pizza sauce since I had some in the fridge; I liked both equally. I used club crackers instead of Ritz as they were what I had on hand and also used banana pepper rings instead of pepperoni. I already knew that I love the combo of cheese, cracker, hot pepper, and tomato, but this was a new way to add the tomato to the mix. Thanks for sharing!
I give a 3 star rating beacuse I liked them, but my husband who is a real pizza lover really didn't like them at all. He said it was way too ketchup-y, and I didn't use too much ketchup either. He said maybe with pizza sauce instead of the ketchup, we may try that sometime.
How could I not give you 5 stars for creating this great little appetizer yourself! I know it is a definite to be kid friendly, but not with your nephew (of course). As soon as he saw ketchup, that was it for him. Well that meant I just had to enjoy all of them. I made about 12 and I couldn't throw away one, so I called them my dinner! I guess that was no worse than having a couple slices of pizza, and it was enjoyed just as well. I especially like the ease of making this and next time we have a party you should bring your appy! Thank you Sis! Now get us some more recipes posted! Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas!!! Love ya!!!
