1. This is a very different way to prepare fried potatoes. I put onion and red pepper flakes in mine. It tasted very good and had a little zip. I only used 5 hot dogs in mine. A quick and easy dish that is a keeper. Thanks Country Cook in Oklahoma. Bullwinkle.

 2. WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE -- IT'S FRIED POTATOES!!Just the comfort food we needed on a cool spring evening. The crushed red pepper flakes added a nice zing. Adjusted amounts for 2 of us.

 3. This is a simple, quick meal that will certainly satisfy kids and husbands alike (I like it too). I usually use chopped onions in it too.

 4. After working allday and traveling for 2 1/2 hours to get to camp I needed a recipe that was quick and satisfying. This one was it! I made it exactly as the recipe but next time will add onions and bell peppers. Thank you Country Cook in Oklahoma

I'll start by saying most of my recipies are rich and not made for dieting, although a very few are healthy by nature! I live in Oklahoma and was raised on a farm. We ate what we raised and grew. Our trips to town were bi-monthly but my Mother was creative and made do with what we had such as cattle, pork, poultry, fruit, grain, milk, eggs and garden veggies. I have collected cookbooks for years and love to take different combinations of other recipes and combine them to make my own. My favorite cookbooks are those from small country churches from old fashion cooks. My favorite time of year is Christmas and I start about 3 weeks before making homemade candy.
