Easy sauce for an easy weeknight meal when rounded with salad and garlic bread.

  1. In a large pot, heat oil.
  2. Add garlic.
  3. Cook over medium heat 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add onion powder and tomatoes into pot. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low, add wine.
  6. Simmer about 30 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Sprinkle the basil over the sauce and cover with the lid.
  10. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in the basil.
  11. Serve with favorite pasta and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
