• 907.18 g smoked pork shanks
• 946.0 ml water
• 1 onion, well browned
• 946.0 ml sauerkraut juice
• 59.14 ml sugar
• 59.14 ml cream
• 1 egg
• 14.79 ml flour
• 177.44 ml milk

directions

1. Cook meat in water until well done.
2. Add onion, sauerkraut juice and sugar.
3. Beat egg, add flour, milk and cream.
4. Add to soup and bring to a boil.
5. Serve with potato dumplings.
