Polish Horseradish (Chrzan)

"With today's food processors, homemade chrzan is a snap to make."

• Ingredients: 5
• Yields: 2 cups
• Serves: 16-32

ingredients

• 1 lb horseradish root, peeled and grated
• 1⁄2 cup white wine vinegar or 1/2 cup white vinegar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice

directions

1. Mix together all ingredients until well combined.
2. Pace into a clean, sterilized pint jar.
3. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

just happened to notice this.. my grandmother made it - it was pronounced " Cha-Rein" She made hers with grated cooked beets..for passover.
