The first three seconds of taking the first bite were pure bliss due to the chocolate taste. The resulting Splenda aftertaste was horrible. I don't think that I would voluntarily make these again.
First, for the positive aspects: It is very cake-like, light and fluffy and very chocolatey so if you really need a chocolate-carb "fix" this may do. However, the after-taste of the Splenda was SO strong that it was very unpleasent. I turned mine upside down and pushed a sugar-free mint pattie into the cake and let it melt, then smeared it around like a frosting. That helped a bit.
