This playdough is great! My 3 year old and my 12 year old both love it. We used Kool-Aid to color and scent some of the dough and food coloring in some. The batch makes a good size lump of dough, easily equal to 4 cans of Play-doh brand. Great fun for the whole family!!
Would have been good to have a temperature for this - mine got quite dry as I think I had the heat up too high! Found it easier to mix the colouring in with the water at the beginning.
I love the size of this recipe!
Not the best playdough recipe I've used, but alright. It turned out gritty and dry - not sure why? But good enough to play with!
This was simple and easy to make, will use again 4 sure!
I made a half batch, but I mixed it all together at once, and cooked it a little longer so it wouldn't be sticky. This is the same consistency as the stuff they sell at the store! I definitely won't be buying anymore.
This turned out great! I have made this recipe several times and I usually mix all ingredients and cook it until it forms a ball and is no longer sticky. It makes the process much faster and your hands don't get all oily. I also add glitter and lemon, vanilla or mint extract for extra appeal. Its even great for babies as it is non-toxic, and they love to poke and squish it! So EASY to make!!!
Made this today for a playgroup meeting at my house tomorrow. I goofed a little as I forgot to stir it continuously but it still came together really well. I used about 5 drops of food colouring but the colour I got was not nearly as nice as the picture so will add more colour next time.
Great recipe! Saved me when I didn't have enough playdoh to go around. Came together very quickly. I used Koolaid to color it, but was not happy with the result. I will definitely get food coloring for next time! Thanks!
I have no idea what went wrong but this seemed to make a sticky dough for me. I cooked it until it was paste then mixed in the oil and some food paste. It never seemed to get less sticky even when I left it out overnight after I tried working some more flour into it. I really wish I came out with something like in the photo for recipe!
