Made this bread by hand rather than the machine as I wanted to use all whole-wheat flour. Subbed 1/4 c. ground flaxseed for 1/4 c. of the total flour. Rolled the dough into pitas--some of the easiest pita rolling I've done! They flattened out evenly and smoothly without sticking. And yum! So good!
I loved this bread, the idea of adding hummus to bread is great, toddler DD is eating chickpeas & doesn't even realise it. I used 2 tsp regular yeast, 2 cups bread flour & 1 cup wholemeal self-raising flour, the result was a lovely high but quite dense bread. I enjoyed this toasted with vegemite & so did toddler DD. Also great straight out of the maker with cream cheese. Thanks for posting, will make again!
