I made this tonight and it was a good starter recipe. Things I changed: turbinado sugar instead of Splenda, way more garlic and more spices. I used a jar of Bionaturae strained tomatoes as my base...delish! I also let it simmer a good long while to make it thicker. I will make this again with the modifications of more garlic and a tad bit more seasonings. Thanks for this keeper!

We LOVED the taste of this sauce on our pizza. It's fresh-tasting, but hearty, with the herbs and garlic. I also added some greek oregano, but just a touch, so it wouldn't overwhelm the flavors of the sauce. We're going to try this over penne or bowties for a simple, delicious meal, too. This is a real winner, meow! Thanks for sharing it with us.

This has become our staple pizza sauce around here! We have homemade pizza every Friday, and I've tried several sauces. We don't like jar sauces, and of all the homemade sauces I've made this one is the best. I added a little oregano with the other herbs and it is superb! Thanks!!

This is a very tasty pizza sauce. I used fresh herbs since I have an indoor herb garden, and since I don't have marjoram, I substituted oregano. I also added a little sugar to the sauce, and I found that it balanced the flavor of the cheese on my pizza nicely. Thanks for a great sauce!

This is an excellent pizza sauce...It's so easy to mix up with all the ingredients I already have on hand...Made Karen Monahan's "Crazy Crust Pizza" with it for supper tonight, and I do believe this sauce is the reason it turned out so good! Followed your directions, and I did add a tspn. of oregano...YUM! Thanks for sharing, meow! We really enjoyed! Laudee

I think I'd like to add some oregano the next time I make this. Otherwise I liked the recipe. I was running short on time so I used the microwave to cook this. I cooked it on high for 10 minutes with a paper plate over the dish (slightly left open so steam could excape). I used this with princess buttercup's Boboli Pizza Crust Clone #37455.

Great pizza sauce, esp since I accidentally purchased tomato puree and wasn't sure what I would do with it. Did not have any balsamic vinegar on hand so I substituted rice vinegar seasoned with oregano and basil. Also used 2 tsp of Italian Seasoning and added 2 tblspn of brown sugar in addition to the splenda as we like a sweeter less tomato-y sauce.

Perfect pizza sauce! I changed things only slightly: used canned diced tomatoes, but will use fresh tomatoes when I have them; used italian seasoning instead of marjoram and basil; used sugar instead of splenda. I let this simmer for several hours so it was really thick. Perfect!

This recipe was the one I've been looking for. All FOUR of us liked it, which is a miracle in itself. Where to "get" pizza from is always an argument in our house. No longer. I used pizza crust Pizza Dough which was awesome also. I "tweaked" it to my tastes with a packet of Splenda and a splash of Balsamic Vinegar. And it was perfect. Thank you for sharing!

This sauce was really good. Being a garlic lover, I added an extra clove of garlic as well as one teaspoon of oregano. It also freezes well. I will be making this again. Thank you for posting :)

This sauce is delicious! It is the best pizza sauce I've ever made. I did not have tomato puree, so I subbed 6T of tomato paste mixed with 3 cups water. I also added a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of oregano. This made enough to generously coat 2 9 inch pizzas, with a good deal left over. Thanks for a great recipe!

I didn't have tomato paste, just a jar of tomato puree, so I tried this recipe. I'm glad I did! It turned out great and was very easy, which is just what I needed. The flavor combination was just right and I didn't even have the balsamic vinegar. I think I might have added a little regular vinegar instead (I can't remember now). I also used sugar instead of Splenda and very little or no pepper.
