I found this recipe as a teen in an old church cook book my mother had. It was always a big hit and still is!! There are many ways to healthy this recipe up but it tastes best just as it is!!

  1. Fry hamburger and onions. Add garlic, sugar, oregano, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Simmer for twenty minutes. Boil egg noodles. Cream together the sour cream and cream cheese then slightly blend with egg noodles. Layer one layer each in a 9x13 pan egg noodle mixture, beef sauce and cheese on top. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

The tanginess of the noodles with the pizza taste of the meat sauce is not a combination of flavors I've tried before, but it's very addicting. I wound up eating two helpings! I did use 1-1/2 cups cheese as we like our cheese. Will definitely make this again. Made for Spring 2012 Pick A Chef.
