This was a VERY popular recipe on AOL's Mom's Online boards -- it was posted by Pam and it's delicious! I have good success with making the dough in the morning and holding in the refrigerator until dinner time.
- 1 cup flat beer
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 2 1⁄4 teaspoons yeast
- Put ingredients in bread machine in order recommended by manufacturer. Use dough setting.
- When machine is completed, remove dough and place in greased bowl. Cover; let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk. Roll or press in prepared pan. Brush lightly with olive oil. Cover and let stand 15 minutes.
- Add sauce and toppings. Bake at 400º for 24 minutes or until done and crust is crispy on outside.
First time to tempt makeing my own dough and it was wonderful!!! And easy!! Thank you!
This was a great dough to work with it. I used a cup of Coors lite, left it on the counter for a couple hours to flatten. My 6 year old says it makes a darn good pizza and my 4 year old said it was delicous...it must be he ate his entire pizza. We made two small pizzas (kids made their own) and one regular sized one. It has a wonderful light crust that we all enjoyed. This is a keeper, its fast and easy...something I can throw in the breadmachine for supper. Thanks a bunch.
Superb! This was my first attempt at bread machine pizza dough and it came out great. I just let it rise in the bread machine and it still came out good. It cooked a little quicker, more like 15-20 minutes for me.
