I have made this numerous times and we all love it. I also use the half white/half wheat combo; it is perfect. It is so much better than buying nasty frozen pizzas to feed your kids and it doesn't take that much effort to make your own dough. Who knew?!!? We love this and I thank you for posting. So no one else will have to do the math: 3/4 tbsp=2 1/4 tsp

I have used this recipe for over a year and haven't reviewed it till now. It is wonderful! I have changed the cooking time a bit: 475 degree oven (my old oven is always kind of like, "Seriously?") for 8-12 minutes. Like other reviewers, I cook the dough without the toppings for 5 minutes to help with sogginess. Great recipe! This is one of my stand-bys.

I am ONLY reviewing the SAUCE, I followed the recipe exactly. I used it for pizzas and the thick red canned tomato PASTE was all we could taste, we couldn't taste any of the seasoning. Sorry, I just can't give it more stars.

This is the best Pizza Dough & Sauce recipe I have found so far! Easy to assemble and create, great flavor. We have changed the cooking temperature from 400 to 350 and the length of cooking time from 20 minutes to 15 minutes. Perfect pizza every time . We will no longer buy pizza out anymore. Thank you for this recipe.

Good deal! Making your own pizza is so much better than ordering, gotta say. This recipe is pretty spot on; I use a bread machine for the dough, and I tend to make my own pizza sauce recipe as well.

This is just a review of the dough. It was alright, a little to heavy/dry for me. I did use half whole wheat flour though, maybe that is why. Other family members liked it, it just wasn't my favorite.

Pizza is one of those foods that everyone has their favorite type. Unfortunately, this one was not ours. If you like a thick hearty crust, this will be right up your ally. For the sauce I used splenda for the sugar. Instead of using red wine OR water, I used a combination of both. I used up what I had left of the red wine and it wasn't quite enough so I added the water to get the needed amount. This reminded both myself and DH of the type of pizza my in laws would like, but it's not our favorite.

The dough texture was good but it tasted very dough-ey, I would make the dough again. The sauce was great...a very deep taste. Used fresh everything and a touch more so the flavor of the sauce was very good.

Haven't tried the sauce yet, but the crust is wonderful. First time making crust (or bread for that matter), so be ready to spend some time rolling that dough out. :)

Easy to make and tasted good. I made half into one medium sized pizza and froze the rest.

Since I only use the pizza sauce recipe, I am not choosing to give it a star rating. However, I love the sauce! I have used it a dozen times at least. I follow the directions, but I double it and freeze the sauce in small containers. Then I thaw just before I make a pizza and I think it almost tastes better after sitting in the freezer for a while! Love it!

We made this last night and it was great. I used my Kitchenaid to do the mixing and the kneading and that made it so easy. And the sauce is fantastic. We really liked this pizza, we added sausage, canadian bacon, pepperoni, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and black olives. Mmmmmmmmm delicious, thank you for sharing your recipe with us.

I had struggled with pizza dough for a while until I found this recipe and it was perfect. We make our own mozzerella from our goats milk so really needed a recipe that I could make a lot of at a time and freeze to use when we have lots of cheese and this was perfect. Wasn't sure I would like the whole wheat but that really made it even better than all white flour. I use a kitchen aid mixer and just went through some of the other reviews and found how to do it that way. Great recipe.

This is for the sauce: I really, really hate to give it 3 stars (good). It was just ok for me. It was lacking a kick - a middle flavour. It was still pretty good though.

I have used this recipe for both the sauce and the dough several times now and I have had success each time. The dough is wonderful and is perfect at the 1/2 ww 1/2 white ratio. I use just a teeny pinch of sugar for the sauce, I prefer more of a savory flavor. All in all this is a regular in our house now!
