  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • Place kielbasa in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven; pierce with fork and drain grease.
  • Cut kielbasa into bite-size pieces; return to baking dish. Spread onion over kielbasa; set aside.
  • Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix applesauce with brown sugar. Pour evenly over kielbasa and onion. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Serve with decorative toothpicks for a festive look.

  1. At the first christmas party of the season, many appetizers were eaten, but this one was wiped clean! Excellent and it smelled great! I halved the applesauce, brown sugar and the onion and it was still great!
     
  2. I thought this was very good !! The brown sugar, applesauce, made a nice, thick, sauce. I liked the onion flavor also. Very easy !!

<p>Mom of four -- a&nbsp;13 year old daughter who is&nbsp;starting Eighth Grade, and a&nbsp;11 year old son who is going into Sixth Grade.&nbsp;Our youngest daughter will be six and is starting&nbsp;Kindergarten this year and my youngest son is 3 and starting three year old preschool. &nbsp;The kids are not only busy in school but we've also got Basketball, Cross Country, Softball and Football practices to contend with and dance lessons for the little one! &nbsp;My husband and I have been married&nbsp;almost 14&nbsp;years! I have loved to cook ever since I was a little girl, and have fond memories of helping my Mom and Grandma while growing up. I love to read cookbooks and cooking magazines as well as cooking supply catalogs (all those neat gadgets!).</p>
