I've been eating these for as long as I can remember eating. These days a just do Margarita pita pizzas: No sauce, just grated mozzarella, torn fresh basil, sliced italian tomatoes, a sprinkling of grated parmesan and a touch of fresh ground black pepper. Heaven.

I used whole wheat pocketless pitas, reduced fat mozzarella, and skipped the parmesan. As toppings I chose sauteed mushrooms and marinated artichoke hearts. Thank you for helping me making the pizza night a bit more figure friendly :-)

I have never made these before but what a hit!! I made plain cheese ones for my kids and my picky 6 year old didnt want to try it. But I made him....and he LOVED it!! He ate it up and wants it again. I added grilled chicken, red pepper flakes and bacon to the ones for me and my husband and they were delicious! A keeper!

And here I thought I was so unique and super lazy getting my pizza fix! lol. I've been making this for years and like it better than most frozen pizza's and pizzarias. It's like a thin crust. I keep browned ground beef & onions in my freezer for topping my pita pizza. Cheddar is my cheese of choice.

These were the best and easiest pizzas I've ever made. My kids helped and enjoyed every minute of it up until the last bite.

I make pita pizzas for my family about once a week. I put tons of chopped, fresh veggies on mine, and my husband likes his with mushrooms, onions, and pepperoni. Awesome!

We have done something similar to this. It is a family favorite dinner that I haven't made in a while, and thanks for jogging my memory! We use whole wheat pitas and I just buy Trader Joe's pizza sauce and let everyone design their own pizza with toppings they like.

I make these from time to time when I'm in a hurry and the kids want pizza. This is indeed a quick, healthy alternative to delivery! The kids can also get involved by choosing and assembling their own toppings.

I make this a lot! Here in the Middle East they have something called Manakeesh which simlar. Bakers spread a mixture of zaatar (arabian spice) mixed with olive oil onto the pita and broil, or some quick melting arabic cheese.

Easy, healthy, tasty. I used leftover marinara sauce and added some diced mushrooms. The whole-wheat pita crisped up nicely, and I served with a green salad. A perfect, quick, no-brainer meal. :)

Yes, this is the way to make a pizza on the go - especially great on the bbq. Treat the little ones to the mini pitas and let them add their own toppings - the perfect size for those little fingers.

I have tried something quite similar to these. They are made for the "chef on the run"....fast, easy, delicious! I haven't made these for a long time, so it was nice to come across them again! Thanks for the reminder!!

I make something similar to this, but with the favourite toppings of who ever I'm making them for. I did mine on the BBQ. I found that the pitas are perfect for the Q as they get a nice crispy texture to them. Makes a great grilled pizza!!! You should try it! Turn the grill on only half of your BBQ, and place the pitas on the other half.
