Here is a healthy recipe that is fast and easy to make. It is great to use up pita that is starting to go stale. Munch on them by themselves or use them as a dip for salsa. If you find the lemon pepper a little too spicy, use one of the Mrs. Dash's blends such as Fiesta Lime, Caribbean Citrus, Garlic and Herb or Onion and Herb. Great for sodium restricted or low cholesterol diets. A wonderful substitute for potato chips!

  1. Preheat oven to 350'F.
  2. With a pair of sizzors, cut pita into wedges. Separate the two sides of pita and place rough side down. With a pastry brush, lightly paint olive oil across the pita wedges. Sprinkle to taste, a generous amount of lemon pepper or one of the Mrs. Dash blends, using more or less than the amount stated above.
  3. Place in oven and cook for about 4 minutes or until the pita slices become dry and crisp and just start to turn brown around the edge.
  4. Serve warm or let cool and store in a freezer bag.
