I've been making this recipe for close to 30 years! It's very easy and always a crowd pleaser. I lost my original recipe when I re-organized my recipe file and am so happy to find it here. CocoaVan said that this recipe was named "The Next Best Thing To Robert Redford" in one of her cookbooks. If I was going to give this a name, I'd call it "The Next Best Thing to Antonio Banderas"! LOL Thanks for posting the recipe.

VERY NICE!!!! I followed the recipe the first time and the second time I used Splenda instead of sugar and it was just as good!!! Thanks for a great new recipe.

This recipe very similar to a pistachio cheesecake recipe a co-worker gave me so instead of posting hers, I will just use this recipe next time.

This recipe is really, really good. I made it last time with pistachio pudding, but now my DH has a request in for the chocolate version. He hasn't stopped talking about it since I made it two weeks ago. Thanks, Teaspoon!

This is a great recipe - I've been making it for years. It's very versatile by changing the flavor of the instant pudding as Teaspoon says. I like the pistachio flavor but I also make it using butterscotch or chocolate pudding and garnish with toasted pecans or chocolate curls. This dessert disappears quickly! In one of my cookbooks this recipe is named "The Next Best Thing To Robert Redford". I'm serious!
