We love this bread. It comes out so moist and pretty. I have given it for gifts for Christmas and everybody enjoys it.

Yummy, moist...more a cake than a bread. I substituted hydrated Craisins for the maraschino cherries. (Add boiling water and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.) Baked in ceramic mini-loaf pans, wrapped w/holiday cellophane, and included the recipe for gifts to coworkers. Many rave reviews! 5 stars!

I have made this many times now and it always gets rave reviews. It is so simple and easy to make, I would like to try adapting it for use with a couple of other flavor combinations.

This went over great! I sent 4 different loaves of quick bread to Dh's work and this went first! Everyone I gave it to loved it. I left out the cherries and the food coloring.

This is really, really good! I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use an electric mixer or not. But, I ended up mixing by hand & it turned out smooth & moist. I used green cherries & omitted the food colouring - it still turned out a really pretty green. A co-worker thought this was pound cake because of the richness!

This is a really festive cake! My husband took one look at it and called it Grinch Bread! :-) I used cherry-flavored Craisins instead of maraschino cherries and I had to bake the loaves for 55 minutes because I used nonstick metal breadpans. This recipe is delicious, easy, economical and chock-full of holiday cheer!
