Great and easy potatoes! Made as written and they came out creamy like when I use a hand mixer, but I used a masher. Served these with lots of butter and salt. Made for Football Pool Win 2012-13.

Excellent potatoes. I did not make ahead. I made right for Thanksgiving dinner so I didn't need to bake it further or use the optional butter. They came out wonderfully well. Everyone loved them. They were oh so creamy and tasted mixer perfect with just a potato masher. They are definitely caloric and rich but so delish! We will make again and again. Thanks for posting Linguinelisa so I did not have to. I love Pioneer Woman's recipes. Enjoy! ChefDLH

Yum! Except for just a little too much butter for my taste, these taters were delicious! I will definitely be making these again soon! thanks for posting linguinelisa!

Made these last night for dinner and easy and creamy. Loved them - I've often put sourcream, butter etc in potatoes, but these were a new and good experiance with the cream cheese. Don't have a mixer or even a potatoe masher here in Trinidad so just mashed them using a fork and they still came out creamy and good. I did cut the serving in half for me and DH but otherwise made as directed. Made for I Recommend Tag Holiday edition.

Oh I have to disagree with Pioneer Woment but there can be too much butter - I scaled back for 2 serves but had more than enough for 3 and had to drain the butter that was dobbed on the top so I could brown the potatoes a little otherwise they were swimming in the butter and that was with the lid off so would have a dentency to drizzle melted butter over before putting into the oven for final cook and well left overs the DM has askeed for fried potatoe cakes with bacon. Thank you linguinelise, made for 123 Hits tag game.

Thank you Pioneer Woman. Wow, these are some tasty spuds. We really enjoyed the flavor of the soft and velvety potatoes. The texture was perfect, smooth and creamy. My dh & I both loved the crisp butter crust on top of the potatoes, an added lilttle bonus. Thank you for sharing linguinelisa. Made for Spring Pac 2012
